Dear Reader,
I hope that readers are enjoying reading my blog. This time I came up with a local restaurant. A good local restaurant of Bhandup. One of the most renowned and old restaurants in Bhandup. They have renovated entirely from interiors to food. This restaurant was built for more than 45 years yet it is one of the popular restaurants in Bhandup.
Many locals come to dine at this place mainly dosas because dosas are one of the best thing in this restaurant. I have asked few people about the opinion for dosa. Many say that they ate the best dosas in life. The crust of the dosa is very crispy and well cooked. The filling is well cooked, well flavored and spices were even. Dosas were worth eating .
When I opened the menu card, two and the half pages were dedicated to South Indian dishes out of which one and half pages are all about varieties of dosas and uttapams. I have seen people order dosas, maidu vada and chole bathure. I did not order any of it as my stomach was already filled with starters. Since I am South Indian I happen to eat dosas and maidu vada and I happen to eat chole bathure before. So I wanted to try something new. But since restaurant is so popular for these things that I would like to try those things in my next visit.
Every dish in menu card seems yummier. Worth having food over there. As for its infrastructure, it is 2 floor restaurant. Ground floor consist of a seating arrangement and kitchen. There is a staircase that will lead you to the first floor which is air conditioned. There is another room which is also meant for air conditioned seating arrangement and area for washing dishes. Seating arrangements were very comfortable. As of price, South dishes and beverages were reasonable but starters, Chinese and deserts were very high. I saw people enjoying their meal.
I ordered paneer 65, schezwan fingers and spring roll. As for our service dosas and chole bathure was served quickly to others who came after but we waited for 25 minutes for our dish to be served. Paneer 65 was awesome. I felt that I ate the best paneer starter. I ate all the paneer 65 by myself. It was savory, well flavored and incredible. I was excited about schezwan fingers but it was disappointment. Though it tasted good, but I wanted fingers to be crispy but instead it was soggy. Gravy and fingers should be served separately and it should be less spicy. Hope it can be improved. Spring rolls was good but should have been more crunchy.
Staffs were courteous. As for ambiance it was clean, neat and well maintained. It is a small restaurant but worth it.
Service: 7/10
Ambiance: 8/10
Price: 8/10
Taste:7/10
Menu Composition: 9/10
Presentation: 9/10
So the overall rating is 8/10. I guess the rating can be improved if service is quick and taste of starter can be improved. They can open more branches all over Mumbai. But still they have to good in other dishes in order to be all rounder. Keeping these things in mind, they can flourish well.
Thank you to all who read my blog. Hope you visit this place. To those who is big fan of South Indian dishes, this is the best restaurant.
Thank You.
